Q. When will v0.7 be released?A. When it's ready. The dev team is working hard on making this release as good as it can be and as such we don't want to be held to any sort of deadline. It'll be released when we all decide it's ready to be released, and no sooner.
Q. Is it safe to update my site with v0.7CVS?A. That is totally up to you. v0.7 has been running here on e107.org for a while now and in my opinion is already far more stable that 0.617. And it's far quicker and less server intensive. If you decide to update, make sure you backup your database first, and don't complain if something goes wrong - it's CVS and not officially released for a reason.
Q. e107 needs some docs, is anyone addressing this?A. Yes. http://docs.e107.org.
Q. I'm sick of having to log into 3 or 4 different sites to get the information or downloads I need, can something be done about this?A. I'm afraid not, the sites are too big to be hosted on one server, and too much work to be run by the same person. Sorry but that's just how it is.
Q. I need a plugin/theme/hack and I need it now! Can I ask one of the dev team to write it for me?A. No, we're all too busy coding v0.7, maybe some of us will be available for freelance work after 0.7 is released.
Q. I need a conversion script from [insert other system here] to e107, can you help?A. Maybe, email me. I'll be updating this post as other things crop up.
e107 is open-source and of course, free. None of the developers of this software are paid, but donations do help to cover our monthly dedicated-server costs. If you like and use e107, please consider making a $5 monthly donation. Every little bit helps and is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
